Fast becoming a favourite here at TMR, London-based songwriter Blood Wizard basks in comfort of staying in on 'Back2bed'. Maintaining the standard set by the brilliant 'babytooth' and its equally impressive follow ups 'big fish' and 'Devil Dressed in Disguise', 'Back2bed' is another direct hit. Anchored by a twisting Kurt Vile-esque guitar pattern, Blood Wizard's relatable lyricism dismisses fomo in favour of home comforts and cozy state of mind. He explains: "Back2bed seems like a downer on the surface, but really it’s about enjoying that sadness a little bit. It captures the dreamy melancholy you get when you’ve been inside for too long, avoiding everything. I have a tendency to hide away for periods of time, especially when I’m making music, and I wanted to capture the emotion I feel in that space. It’s not really good or bad; it can just be nice to avoid the world sometimes".
